Abridge + UI Health: Early Impact
UI Health, the academic health enterprise of the University of Illinois Chicago, has selected the Abridge AI platform following a competitive, head-to-head evaluation driven by early impact and clinician- and science-led innovation.
UI Health serves a linguistically diverse population of 1.4 million patients annually. Abridge’s automatic speech recognition technology is designed to support multilingual clinicians.

During a pilot with Abridge, UI Health saw a six percentage point increase in patient scores reported to Press Ganey from 91 percent to 97 percent in response to the survey question “provider explained in a way you understand.”
Abridge will be deployed enterprise-wide across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care settings, supporting both clinicians and trainees.
