Abridge Welcomes the Altrina Team
Bringing together exceptional builders to shape healthcare AI
Today, we're excited to welcome the team behind Altrina to Abridge. This is the latest investment in the people and expertise that will shape our next chapter.
Altrina Co-Founders Mo Nasir and Harvey Hu, along with founding engineer Karthik Prasad, are joining Abridge to help advance the next generation of AI for healthcare. Over the past year, they've built deep expertise in browser-based AI agents, healthcare workflow automation, and the challenges of deploying AI reliably in complex, real-world environments.
"Every major advance in AI expands what's possible, but turning that potential into technology that people trust is ultimately a team sport," said San Oo, Chief Technology Officer at Abridge. "Healthcare is one of the most demanding environments in which to build AI, and success won't come from models alone. It will come from teams that combine deep AI expertise with an understanding of clinical workflows, enterprise deployment, security, and the realities of healthcare. That's what made the Altrina team stand out."
The Altrina team has spent the past year tackling exactly those kinds of challenges. Their experience building browser and computer-use agents, automating workflows across electronic health record systems, and developing resilient production infrastructure complements Abridge's deep clinical expertise and enterprise scale. Together, we'll apply that expertise as we continue building technology that reduces administrative burden and helps clinicians focus on patient care.
"We started Altrina because we believed AI agents could fundamentally improve how work gets done in healthcare," said Mo Nasir, CEO and Co-Founder of Altrina. "Joining Abridge gives us the opportunity to bring those ideas to one of the most trusted platforms in healthcare AI. The combination of technical ambition, deep clinical expertise, and the ability to deliver at scale made this the right next chapter for our team."
We're still in the early days of what's possible. As AI becomes increasingly capable of supporting complex clinical workflows, Abridge is building the AI-native clinician intelligence platform that harnesses those capabilities to transform healthcare delivery. Assembling exceptional teams is an important part of that journey, and we're excited for what's ahead.
